Animanga Club National continues to add more resources for school clubs across all 50 states. ▉ PROJECTS ▉ Animanga Club National Program is made from the team at National Otaku Alliance. ACNP assists in NOA in helping the mission of spreading otaku culture with the world. Student members of a club using the ACNP programs are acting as helpful otaku community members. Learning to be self sufficient as well as socialized, collaborating with Japanese clubs and Japanese classes for Japanese Culture events, and interacting with other local otaku.. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, executing events, and holding elections for leadership positions in their local club. PROMOTION OF JAPANESE ANIMATION OTAKU CULTURE INITIATIVE The National Otaku Alliance's otaku culture initiative is found in the projects of the ACNP. It has a lifestyle and personal element that emphasizes being comfortable with identifying with a interest. The effect is that the Otaku Culture Initiative is a bond through the Otaku Culture to break the differences amongst otaku to find a single common ground. This allows for otaku to be more comfortable with one another and lesson the amount of conflicting interests between shows and hobbies.SELF SUFFICIENT COLLEGE LIFE ▉ GOALS ▉ UNIFY THE OTAKU COMMUNITY DEVELOP LEADERSHIP SKILLS CO-OP EXPERIENCES ▉ AAA ▉ ▉ MISSION STATEMENT ▉ Animanga Club National has core values that represent the order and beliefs that direct the group towards purpose. These effect the thought process of members decisions and actions for the clubs. ALL FOR EXPERIENCE Experiences are some of the best way to gain perspective, points of view, and options in life. As a group of people there are many different ways to think and consider the best ways to make the experience enjoyable, diverse, and balanced. Stepping out of comfort and revisiting the struggle of something new can show politeness, respect, and effort. When the whole group participates for an experience there is more about the group and less about what is in it for the person themself. TO INSURE RELEVANCE As some may enjoy cosplay, fine arts, writing, video editing, and some just watching... some of the best way to insure relevance is activities that relate to student input of club goals, utility skill value of activities, and practical context of concepts, There might be even one person who feels out of place, but if one person is there are chances another one will also feel the same quietly with no verbal confirmation. Relevance is one way to insure interest in participation. EMBRACE THE BURNING PASSION Everyone who seeks out a group of animanga most likely has a feeling of burning passion in their heart that their specialty in the community is the greatest. But, Animanga and the Otaku culture has so much more to offer, so it doesn't take people long to take a step back and observe that there is no best specialty and that there are many wonderful specialties. DO YOUR BEST INCLUDING ALL VOICES Learning to let everyone speak before saying your piece is important to gaining perspective of members of the group and an entire idea of what the group itself would like. Giving others the chance to express their opinions without challenge quickly pursuing is important to make people open up. When all have spoken their parts and each is considered in a choice there is a connection and bond that becomes unspoken from the group to each and everyone of its member. Its easy to be overlooked and unappreciated even if its one of the loyalists of members, so take time to listen to all voices. CONSIDER THINGS LOCALLY Locally there are people who are interested in animanga and otaku culture, but respecting differences is what makes each person who enjoys it different. Taking effort to grow and support others in the local otaku community is necessary to allow passion to grow into a brighter flame. Through harnessing such strength the talents of many will create an ever more rich atmosphere that will draw people to the area which such a healthy community resides. GOVERN GRACEFULLY The animanga industry is always changing. Seasonally shows appear, fandoms change, and discussion topics become irrelevant. Improving through experience considers all angle. Bonding with club members through learning others interests and learning from them can expose people to learn new things. It is a member as well as a supervisor and the entire group itselfs responsibility. Club members need to beable to count on their club members, supervisors, and the group to gain understanding. Only then can a group govern gracefully. LEAD RESPECTIVELY Programs and practices can effect members and outside students. Every group is apart of the local market that deeply impacts the ethical decisions of those participating in the overall animanga community. Through group exposure people learn to what is the proper way to act, so leading with responsibility can ultimately make more responsible people. Always keeping others in mind, setting a strong example of being a responsible adult, and actions of professionalism. The internet allows ideas to make being otaku even more fun, even more affordable, and spreads the foundations of successful groups through social media. Japanese Language This section will cover many of the basic Japanese Language curriculum as a beginning Japanese course with basic Alphabets, Sentences, and Word memorization. can go on to have Japanese practiced at any-level and in many different ways. For example, there can be studies of hiragana, katakana, and kanji characters or a style of speaking like keigo [business speaking] that has its own ettiquette as well. People come from a variety of backgrounds in their inspiration for learning Japanese, but Animanga is definately a strong reason in the persuit to get off subtitles. Japanese writing and language is key to understanding the building blocks of a foreign culture that is Japan through its words. The words help with opening more pathways to researching and understanding Japanese Culture, Japanese definitions, and Emotions that work with english and some that there is no english equivalent. This can be very helpful, since Japanese Animation and Manga uses the Japanese way of life as a source of inspiration that is needed to get some referances and choices characters do, say, or make that go on in the show. NIHON-RYORI With "The Nihon-ryori Project" and AROH have joined forces to learn uses and translate Japanese Food products at the Hawaii Super Market. Don Quixote and Marukai have a vast number of products that could be used by more people if they knew what words on such packages were in english. A significant number of people in Hawaii enjoy Japanese flavors, so expanding and exposing people through food is a great gateway introduction to more things Japanese. STATE SELECTION MENU
